PermaBag® is a large reinforced storage bag with an air-tight diver's zipper for climate controlled storage of cars, motorbikes, goods and valuables. PermaBag reduces the humidity within the bag, achieving ideal conservation and storage conditions for long-term all-round protection against rust, corrosion, dust and humidity. PermaBag also removes all traces of existing moisture that may be trapped inside cavities such as sills, inner-doors and exhaust systems.

In order to maintain a constant deterrent against rust, mould and corrosion, it is necessary to keep the relative humidity below 50%. The moisture within PermaBag® is absorbed until the relative humidity is below 50%, creating an ideal environment for long term storage.

PermaBag® functions without electricity. Moisture within PermaBag is absorbed by means of a special drying agent (desiccant), capable of providing several months and years of safe, dehumidified and controlled storage. The desiccant is supplied in marine grade 316-stainless steel perforated cylinders, which can be reused time and time again by a simple process of regeneration within a normal household oven. A digital, precision Thermo-Hygrometer (supplied) monitors and displays the humidity within PermaBag, offering peace of mind as well as indicating when the desiccant needs to be regenerated.

PermaPack® contain a natural, environmentally friendly desiccant. Desiccants are used in packaging and are commonly found in the shape of a little bag, when purchasing a video, stereo, camera, etc. PermaPack moisture absorbing cylinders are available in two sizes: 18 cm ( 7" ) and 6 cm ( 2½" ). The larger cylinders are able to absorb approx. 600ml of water and the smaller cylinders approx. 200ml., representing an adsorption capacity of 60%. PermaPack will not drip when saturated, is non-toxic and can be regenerated and reused over and over again.

PermaBag® for bikes is available in 2 sizes, designed to fit a single motorbike or a motorbike including a sidecar (or two motorbikes). The universal size often makes it possible to interchange motorbikes as well as to utilize the extra space for spare parts and accessories.

TThe indoor version of PermaBag® is suitable for enclosed areas, such as a garage, workshop, shed, underground garage, barn etc. The outdoor version can be used just about anywhere, as long as firm, non-porous ground is available. The outdoor PermaBag® comes complete with a number of extra accessories making it suitable for for outdoor use, even under harsh climate conditions such as sun, wind, rain, hail, snow and storm.

The advantages of PermaBag® compared to other storage systems are self-explanatory. There are various systems on the market, one of which pumps air into a bag. This method unfortunately only transfers humid air through the bag, resulting in the same humid condition inside the bag as exists outside the bag. Electric de-humidifiers require a constant source of electricity and are unable to maintain a rel. humidity under 50%. This is due to atmospheric moisture leaking through windows and doors. Electric de-humidifiers are generally unable to operate at temperatures below freezing and tend to switch themselves off at +10ºC. There is also a system based on vapor phase inhibitor molecules (VCI). This system does not offer any form of visual control, leaving the owner of valuable vehicles without given guarantee or peace of mind as to what is happening inside the bag. The re-use of such a bag is highly questionable as the molecules can not remain active over a longer period of time and can not be regenerated. It has been scientifically determined that VCI should not be used in conjunction with plastics, painted parts or components made of rubber, making this system clearly unsuitable for the storage of complex items such as motorbikes and cars.
